November 4, 2026 Financial Briefing: Relief Rally Driven by Dip-Buying
The KOSPI experienced a volatile intraday session amid U.S. midterm election jitters and foreign selling concerns, but turned positive late in the day on dip-buying to close at the 5,683 level.
After threatening to break below the 700 mark in the prior session, the KOSDAQ rebounded 1.50% to settle at the 714 level, led by semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) along with growth stocks.
Despite lingering concerns over Big Tech capital raising and regulation, the index extended its rebound toward the 25,372 level, bolstered by strength in semiconductor names such as Micron and NVIDIA.
Given widening intraday index volatility, short-term supply digestion during this technical rebound phase may persist, warranting caution against chasing rallies.
